SAN JOSE, Calif. - Today the USL announced that Almaden FC will begin play in USL League Two in 2024.

Many players started their journey in AFC and have gone on to lead professional careers, including recently retired defender Steven Beitashour, and current USL I player, Andrew Paoli.

“Almaden FC remains dedicated to advancing the sport, providing avenues for talent development, showcasing players, and fostering a passion for soccer in our community,” Tom Brough, the club general manager, said. “USL League Two serves as a vital link, enabling AFC's youth and college players to realize their aspirations and serve as inspiration for

future generations of players in the stands.”
